Worst Indian I ever had! Had to send back the chapati because it was so thick and terrible. The rest was not much better. Thick and heavy cheese Nan, another wet and tough bread, over salted curry and curry that looked plastic. Worst malai kofta ever! Don’t order.

Amazing fresh Indian food! I found both this and The Golden Saffron Restaurant good and it is really hard to choose one. But if you are in Ubud Sitara Indian restaurant would be the best. Good choice of veg and non veg food. I must make a mention of the raw mango pickles and fresh mint chutney, they reminded me of home! They have a couple of other restaurants too in other parts of Bali. They are now able to cater to number of Indian tourists increasing with each passing year.

Probably the only restaurant serving Indian food around Ubud. This is an Indian restaurant maintained completely by local people, that was a bit of a shock for me, but still atleast we r getting Indian food. The ambience is pretty nice and well decorated. They have Hindi sings playing in the background and hindu gods been kept at the billing table. We started off with Chicken Hot n Sour Soup, which was pretty decent but couple have been a bit more spicy. Chicken Hydrabadi was served with boiled egg on top and tasted good. Dal Fry Tadka was the best. Naan was good but Lacha paratha was a big disappointment. The pricing is moderate and the staff is very friendly.

I visited this place in 2018. Totally Indian taste. Will recommend to vegetarian indians.

This hotel from outside doesn't look attractive , but inside ain't that bad. Food is average, biryani is okay, butter naan has no butter, chicken tikka I liked though. Hygiene is a big question. Our plate was dirty, then we asked to change. The staff simply wiped the same plate n gave. Pickles look fermented n saunf (mouth freshener) always soggy. Staffs are good like in general Balinese are smiling n courteous. This hotel definitely needs a makeover and a hygiene policy. In these days customers cannot be fooled with. All the best

Sitara is a nice Indian Restaurant in Bali run by Indian woman. They have two outlets, we visited the Ubud one for lunch. After a week long trip of managing Indonesian vegetarian food, it was great to taste authentic Indian veg items. We visited for lunch in a group of 15 We started with orange juice, followed by tomato soup, which I had twice as it was super good. Followed by typical Indian dishes- butter naan, jeera rice, malai kofta, daal and so on. We feasted on it to our satisfaction and ended with orange coloured kulfi for desert. Sitara can home deliver your food to your home/hotel via food delivery apps like Gojek or Grab Food. Very convenient. You don't have to spend on traveling and order from the comfort of your hotel room. Buffet lunch/dinner can be arranged if there're 25 pax. They were NOT serving tender coconut water. Reservation is recommended for groups larger than 5. Restaurant can seat about 100 pax I am guessing.
