The special rice was good, the meat was tender and soft. Now, I see why some people complain the skin is hard and chewy. Well, it is hard and chewy, but you just have to chew them slowly to enjoy the crunch and taste it's flavor. However, it was just a little bit salty not like very/extremely salty that took away 1 star. It's still tasty and worth a try!
Simply love the place. They allowed me to replace rice with stir fried vegetables as I don’t eat starch. Tasty pork with spices & herbs, provided with blood intestines and crispy skin.
Ran out of the crispy suckling pig skin so they proceeded to give us deep fried pork lard in lieu. Overpriced. There are many better suckling pig restaurants to go to cheaper and better.
The food is bland and possibly catered to tourist tastes - Ibu Oka seems to have grown complacent because of the fame, and better babi guling places have emerged around town. Meat was good and you can sense the care put into cooking it, but all the other ingredients were bland. Although this place it famous, would not recommend it for travelers or locals. The store has seen better days.
One of the more famous Babi Guling restaurants in Bali. The way leading up to the restaurant is quite interesting as it's tucked in a corner. Food is not bad quite delicious, they have fresh coconuts as well. The set meal comes with a variety of cuts, pork skin, meat, rice and soup. Service is quite good and friendly
Spacious restaurant and open air circulation with back yard of big trees and a creek. Food is also the best for roasted pork, specially for lean meat.
