Based on observations carried out there are several types of mangroves found, namely Avicennia lanata; Nypa fructicans; Rhizophora apiculata; Rhizophora mucronata; Rhizophora stylosa; and Sonneratia alba. In general, the conditions for the development of mangrove ecosystem-based tourism can be implemented, but can be upgraded to education and conservation-based tourism by having learning media on species, conservation, mangrove ecosystem preservation, and mangrove nursery media. According to Bengen and Dutton (2004), the mangrove ecosystem is one of the most important ecosystem in the ecological system of the coastal regions of Indonesia. The Mangrove ecosystem is responsible for protecting the shoreline from erosion, stabilizing the substrate, holding back the wind, acting as a genetic pool, and supporting life around it. The characteristics of mangrove ecosystem are influenced by soil conditions, salinity, flooding, tidal, and oxygen content. The adaptation of mangrove plant to the habitat appears is marked by the morphology and composition of the mangrove plant structure (Rismunandar 2000). Therefore, further rehabilitation and conservation of mangrove ecosystem is required to preserve mangrove ecosystems that reflect the relationships between the living creatures and the environment as well as the establishment of sustainable disaster programs based on education, tourism, and conservation.
