I go to this terminal to go to Borobudur Temple. We need to take "Becak" 15k for two people, in case you don't want to walk. It's better for you to bring umbrella as well because borobudur is quiet hot.
like
The bus terminal located at Magelang, Central Java. Buses used are very old, but you have no choice if this is the cheapest means of public transport you choose for your journey to Borobudur Temple. Hold your breath while on board as this bus is driven quite fast yet skillfully driven while slicing through the traffic. Let's hope you can reach your destination safely. Don't expect a premium service taking this bus service. The point is that you can reach your destination without having to pay for a high fare. Popular amongst backpackers and budget oriented travellers. I took the rearmost back seat as I can get fresh air coming in from the rear door which is always open while the bus is on the move. Rest assured, the bus assistant will always stand at the rear door to manually assist the driver for any motorcycle that move closely along the bus. The bus assistant also assist the elders, women and children embarking and disembarking from the bus. The system may not be approved in some countries but it works well here for many years. You will just have to get acquainted with the situation. After all, we are just a tourist in other country.

The last/first bus stop on my way to Borobudur Temple from/to Jogjakarta. From here took becak (rickshaw ride) for Rp.15,000 (Nego) or you can walk around 10-15 minutes to the Borobudur Temple. The Bus stop not so big and all the bus is very old. Felt not so safe here like most of bus terminal in Indonesia many people will try to offer you something.
Ok
Although the goverment has invested so much on Borobudur Tourism, this terminal is not one of it. It hasn't been improved over decades. It only has very old busses conneting to Yogyakarta. And guess what... extra charge by bus conductor for foreign tourists.
There's some "warung" offering simple and local food. Don't expect a cozy place despite it being a pivotal transit area for tourists. Some people who run bussiness there, however, are quite friendly.
