Sigmantara Foundation is a non-profit organization, has been operating since 2013 and formally established on 5 February 2015 under the Decision of Minister of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia Number AHU-0002382.AH14 of 2015. Sigmantara is fully established to achieve the objectives in the spectrum of social and humanity, especially to advocate the protection of migrant workers from Indonesia through reliable advocacy organization. In addition, Sigmantara effectively acts as a communicator between migrant workers and government in formulating national policies, particularly related to the placement and protection of Indonesian migrant workers abroad. Aside of Indonesia as its home-based country, Sigmantara owns and has pioneered its networks in four countries namely Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.
