Went here a few years ago. Glad to see it's still there. Beautiful surroundings. The clifftop cottage was lovely. The food was great every day. The snacks were provided too! It really was a little jewel in my memory that I'll never forget.

Amazing location! The huts are spread on a rock surrounded by coral with many many fishes. For our whole stay there, huge schools of sardines swam in front of the little harbor, you could literally swim into it and see them disperse and go back in formation. It was amazing. The atmosphere was also great! We enjoyed it a lot. NOTE: clarify the prices beforehand. We agreed on paying a price on the phone, but then we had to pay double as they put us on the most expensive bungalow without mentioning anything about it. This definitely made us leave with a bitter taste on our mouths.
The place is ok if you want to take a breathe and get refreshed air and far away from the noisy things to get a peacefull mind..
Beautiful sunsets, great food, very friendly, home atmosphere. And a small very nice village Bomba to visit nearby.
Poya Lisa is a great place on a small island just offshore from Bomba. I tremendously enjoyed staying in this simple place in a beautiful environment. One of the best places we have stayed during our travels in Indonesia this summer. They have a series of small bungalows on and below an narrow old coral ridge that sticking 5-6m out of the water. A beach connects to another coral outcrop on which the restaurant is located. Most bungalows have a small terrace at the back looking out over the ocean (including the sunset) and small terrace at the front looking out over the bay. Sea views on both sides and no airco needed: the relatively cool sea breeze is sufficient. Three meals a day included but you need to like fish. A true small paradise. And inexpensive too...
Nice cottage with very friendly people, Julie cook very goods meals ans is very helpfull. But very important advise : don't trust on Hercules boat as a means of transportation to this cottage. We can not trust the captain. He is not a trusted person. I was stuck at Poya Lisa and missed my plane at Ampana because of him. The day before and the morning when he came from Ampana to go to Wakai and he stopped at the Poya Lisa I asked him twice not to forget to take me in the afternoon when he came back from Wakai to Ampana. I said it was very important because I had a plane ticket from Ampana for the day after. He told me not to worry and he would not forget me. finally I saw him pass Poya Lisa at high speed, I made him big signs, he surely saw me and he never stopped. This is how we consider tourists on the Togians Islands. the locals seem nice, they like to talk and laugh with you but in fact they do not care about you, they do not care about anything. You could die in front of them that they would never get up from their chairs it would tire them too much. It's a shame, I spent two very beautiful weeks on the Togians but this guy definitely disgusted me of everyone.
