Located on the main street of Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, this museum presents a complete history of Banjar Kingdom and Banjar tribe culture. In its main building, there are pictures, replicas, figures and miniatures to learn everything about Banjar history and culture by reading small information boards near them. There are also other buildings around the main building such as Ruang Kain (Textile Room), where the examples of Banjar fabrics are exhibited. In the outdoor, the museum also exhibits some replicas of Banjar traditional boats. The museum complex is clean and well managed. Visitors are only have to pay IDR 2.000,- to enter the museum. A must visit place if we want to learn about Banjar tribe of South Kalimantan, Indonesia.

Nice place to know about the history and the culture of South Kalimantan. Besides, a lot of Gusti Sholihin's painting collection have been here. The ticket price for entrance is also cheap, only 1k for the children, and 2k for adult visitor.

Last time I visit this museum I had good experiences, they had traditional miniature house of Banjar, and a whale bone if I'm not mistaken. They need to improve the place tho.
