Work Design and Ergonomics Laboratory was established in 2005, together with the establishment of Industrial Engineering University of Brawijaya, is one of the pre-eminent laboratory under the Department of Industrial Engineering University of Brawijaya and kept settled on a consistent basis to achieve the vision and mission that has been proclaimed. First Head of Laboratory was Mr. Ishardita Pambudi Tama, ST, MT, Ph.d who is assisted by a Coordinator Assistant and 4 persons Laboratory Assistant. Currently, the head of the laboratory is Mr. Sugiono, ST, MT, Ph.d with a Coordinator of Assistant and 17 Laboratory Assistant. Ergonomics, which is one of the basic sciences in Industrial Engineering, Work Design and Ergonomics Laboratory became the center of the implementation of educational activities, research, and community service. The purpose is optimizing the involvement of lecturers, students, industry, even the society for the advancement of Ergonomic science. Ergonomics, as one of the most aspects of human life, can be one potential development of this science from time to time. With the presence of this laboratory, the students can apply the science of ergonomics on Industrial products and able to analyze and improve industrial environment.
