Hands Of Hope Indonesia is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of those less fortunate and educating others in a bid to change their ways and thus, make a better world. Children in some parts of Indonesia are victims of incest, being valued and literally exchanged for animals such as goats and cows, and even being disowned by their parents due to their mental and/or physical impairments. This isn't a joke, this is real and actually does happen. These kids have no hope on their own and so Hands Of Hope Indonesia have partnered with the Indonesian Policing community and a a group of Police Officers'​ wives and partners, as well as local orphanages to provide crucial services such as on-going care, rehabilitation and therapy sessions to help these young children develop and have a better chance at life than they would have otherwise had. There are also programs being developed to help provide education to children in remote villages as there are no schools in these areas and long distance travel simply isn't feasible. Any and all donations are greatly and sincerely appreciated. Financial support is preferred (no amount is too small) as it is often cheaper to purchase essentials in Indonesia as opposed to posting items from Australia. I have recently traveled to Kupang myself and have seen first hand the results of hard work and a united community. I have seen these very brave and delightful kids smile, and at the end of the day, that is what it is about. :)
