Indonesia Securities Investor Protection Fund (Indonesia SIPF) is a New Company was established by Indonesia Financial Service Authority (OJK) in 2013. The Company was set up as a subsidiary of three Self Regulatory Organization (BEI, KSEI and KPEI) with the same portion of paid in capital. Indonesia SIPF is an institution with the purpose of providing protection for capital market investor who loss their fund or stock because of fraud conducted by the brokerage management to whom they are dealing with. As the sole institution which protects capital market investors in Indonesia, Indonesia SIPF has a responsibility to protect USD 97 Billion of investor’s total asset managed by securities brokers. Indonesia SIPF will start its operation as an organizer of investor protection fund on January 2014, noticeably by the acceptance of 114 securites companies in Indonesia as the members. Regarding with its role to protect approximately 350 thousand of stock market’s investors in Indonesia, Indonesia SIPF will collect membership fee and annual fee from its members starting from January 2014.
