Great place for vacation. We can know a lot of history of the Batam island from this place. Many Vietnam refugees was live in this area when the war start at their country. A little sad when visiting this place because the pagoda was burn and not yet got renovate. Some area also not get very good maintenance. But overall this place remind Indonesian people about Indonesian Hospitality.

I got the chance to visit Kampung Vietnam before Covid-19 hits. This is a historic place where you could still see and experience what the refugee has gone through first hand. There's museum, church, vihara, boat that they used to sail, hospital, and many more. There are a lot of monkey so you need to be careful of your belonging. Please don't forget to respect everyone and objects available at display.
Ex Vietnamese refugee camp in 1976-1996. A total of 250,000 Vietnamese refugees have stopped here before finding a country that is ready to accommodate permanently. There are museums, places of worship, former schools, hospitals, even boats that have taken them. Successful alumni have reunited and restored the tombs of refugees who died here.
Going to Batam? You must visiting this area. Many things that you can learn and see here, about the past. Lack of facility and maintenance, quite place and little creepy. Nice!!
It was an OK experience. Drove quite far away from Batam city center to see the place. It was pretty clean but I think the gov can make the place better than now. I don't think they keep it that well. You could see some of the books is put inside this glass box but inside of the box is very dirty. Also, they have this collection of photos without actually telling a story.
Camp Vietnam is located in Batam, the Riau Archipelago. With the main destination see the location of the burial of Vietnam. The place is comfortable and unspoiled, we can also see unspoiled natural scenes here, to come here you must be prepared to spend time with lots of walking. Don't forget to bring supplies, especially drinking water.
It's so nice to discover this area for humanity in the pass. That's so lovely fantastic to get lost in this place
I went here at weekday, I felt lost in a scary village, bcs this place very quiet. There was monkeys around the street I passed. A few buildings wasn't look after so make this place terrible.
