Great food in the middle of rice fields. Follow the small side street before the main road dips toward the river. The side street turns into a small irrigation road that cuts through rice fields. The Cafe is about 1 km from the main road. All the food was great. We tried the Margherita pizza, noodle chicken curry, pork dumplings and pork cutlets.

The place is a bit far from the main road. But the journey was a pleasant one. We went through a narrow road sandwiched by rice fields to get here. I was given a beautiful moment and memories, eating delicious food while watching the farmers harvesting the crops and a duck caretaker herding hundreds of duck to eat the rice husk right in front of us. Will definitely go back here again everytime I go to Ubud!
As most have mentioned, the path there was rather challenging. Cafe Pomegranate has nearly a thousand reviews on the map so I thought this would be a great place to check out. The path to get here was only wide enough for one motorbike to get through at any given spot. Warning: leave shoes at entrance (they need a sign to let customers know) rather than having hostess shout, "No shoes!" The view as you can see is quite spectacular. The food selection isn't as diverse as Bali Nguni or Green Kubu and it is a little pricier. Considering the location which was in the middle of nowhere, it would have been better priced? The food was okay with a few oddities. My mango juice had tumeric in it which was very different and was okay when it was cold but as it thawed, it was not as enjoyable. The curry chicken was pretty good and portion was alright. The service was a bit lacking. The bell on the table was supposed to bring the waitress. Although there was only 2 other tables with guests (7 of us in this place), it took a few tries to get their attention. Odd since there were 6 or 7 workers available when we first arrived. Found out afterwards that several of the workers were taking a nap... The tables are large enough to accommodate my laptop so working there would have been okay but doubt the workers would be pleasant enough to allow you to overstay by an hour or two. The wind blowing through the open space is quite pleasant. Guess... I'm gone with the wind. If customer service was better, they would have earned a 5 star.
Cafe Pomegranate always be my favorite place to chill, enjoying the rice field view at sunset time. If we come with motorbike we can park in front of the cafe, but if we come with car we should park near the main street and take a walk to the cafe.
The only way to go there is by walking about a mile from the main street or use motorbike. But I suggest you to walk there and enjoy the view up close. The walk will reward you with this cozy place. It has 360 view of the rice field. A lots of menu for vegan.
Cafe Pomegranate it's a very nice place tucked in the rice fields, to arrive in the palace there is only a small path to follow, it's possible gi by motorbike but you have to go slow and be careful with the other scooter or pedestrian who will come from the opposite side, it's a gem in the area, very peaceful, you can have a drink and have food, the are it's perfect for a walking around, you can start from the Ubud Palace and arrive here avoiding the main road ( by walk ) . By motorbike you can access from the main road, but it's like a secret passage. The area it's surrounded by rice fields, yoga studio and other restaurants, one have their own hydroponic system and they have always fresh salads, you can stay and have a full relaxing time, read a book, watching sunset over the trees and the rice fields, watching the local kids playing with kites.
Definitely come for the view. But definitely don’t eat here.
A soothing cafe FOR SURE, quiet and calm, its in the middle of a rice Farm, the view is really calming, the sound of the wind and the moving paddy and the farmers moving around moving the Paddy, we had lunch there after a long ride with a motorcycle, this place helped us to feel relaxed. Food a bit plain, but still we had a great time hanging out here, toilet is clean, you'll be barefoot in this restaurant. Very unique concept. Place is a bit hard to get, small road and impossible to be accessed with car. So walking motorcycle will be the solution.
