I went there around 10 AM and I swam next to 5 turtles. Amazing experience, especially because you are on your own with the turtles: it’s not crowded with people like during the boat tours. I rented the gear (mask and fins) for 50K from the guy on the beach. You need to swim for 100-200m from the shore to have a greater chance to see the turtles.

I randomly rode my bike here and so glad I did! There were a lot of nice and peaceful turtles. It’s awesome snorkelling here and watching the turtles graze. You can rent snorkelling gear and shoes here from local people.

Be sure to take shoes to go into the water as there is a lot of dead coral on the bottom. We were lucky and saw a turtle there but is not very often the case. Just keep looking.
I was there on Mai. Snorkeling at this area for 2h. Long Distanz. No turtle. Also at the other turtle points. I spend much watertime. And much km. In low and in deep water. I think its Marketing. At this point they show you a turtle nest. I think its fake. All for the Tourist :/ Because on Gili Meno. You see realy nests and a Pool for the small turtles. Turn left from the shipping drop off. You see Personal. Thats real not just a rosty net on the beach. The Islands are ok. Nothing special. Much broken corals because the lokals throw their anchor on this. And much plastic trash. Beaches are nice and the water often very clear. But dont go there if you only want to see turtles. You will never find Them in 15 min every diving. But you find every diving the normal fishes like Thailand, Philippines.
