Sumur Gumuling is rounding well in English. This place was the Sultan's Mosque. Placed at underground alley, trough the villages small road from Taman Sari. This place has two floors. We through a bit dark alley to get to the centre which has more light and nice for photo spot. Since this built hundreds years ago, you can smell and sense of old wall. Just like its name, the place is rounding and like underground dome. No wheelchair access and no other facilities but nice spot to take photos and the history of course.

Another photo spot.. but this one is different, this place have history. Back in the time this is a mosque and around that is water.. and another story tell before the mosque is under the water. If you want go there you must walking is more easy if you walk from water castle (taman sari) no sign in there but you can ask or use map for walking

The place was hard to be found, even my driver didn't know the exact place or the gate. I went there on weekend and it was so crowded. The guides were all busy no one waited on the front table so i couldn't buy any ticket and that means i couldn't go down to the well. That's kinda disappointing. But maybe next time i'll be luckier

This historical place is awesome. It's so instagramable on this spot. Most of visitors had been stepping by on their photographs. It is part of what so called as Taman Sari area, formerly a place for the ladies of the Jogjakarta Royal Palace.

Also known as underground mosque, don't forget to bring your ticket to pass the cave to go there. This place is iconic place of Taman Sari palace

This is situated within the Taman Sari tourist village. The place used to be an underground mosque for the sultan, but it’s not used as such anymore.

Not much to see and too much people lining up to take pics on this one specific spot. The only good things is it feels cold in there when it’s like 33 degree Celsius outside lol
