CKNet-Ina (Collaborative Knowledge Network Indonesia) aim to contribute in improving water management, through supporting government, policy to decentralize their water management responsibilities to the regions and by strengthening the local government institutes performance and their human resources. We collaborate with national and international capacity building partners and networks. These include research centers and professionals. We focus our services on capacity building in the field of infrastructure, water and environmental management. Combining the available expertise within CKNet, we are able to develop unique and often integrated solutions to help our stakeholders to meet their requirements to solve their problems in a structured way. We deliver value through synergistic involvement between our members and the client. HISTORY In June 2005, 10 prominent universities in Indonesia agreed to establish a knowledge network consisting of universities; the Collaborative Knowledge Network of Indonesia (CKNet).With financial support from the Government of the Netherlands, through NUFFIC, the network was further established, internal capacity of the secretariat was strengthened, tailor made courses provided for the members, Training and Capacity Building Needs Assessments were conducted, and the network governance as foundation established. Since January 2011 CKNet consists of 27 members of higher learning institutes in Indonesia from North Sumatera in the West, until Papua in the Eastern part of Indonesia. In 2017, CKNet member increased from 41 members (2016) to 43 members. Recent CKNet member not only consists of higher learning institutes in Indonesia but also from government and professional association.
