My partner and I went to this quiet part of Lombok to develop our kiteboarding skills. We discovered that the Seabreeze Kite Club had recently set up a new school here, with accomodation at Ekas Sunrise. We were also lucky to meet up with the kite club's fantastic instructors' Alex and Delphine. I did 3 sessions (1.5 hours each) with Alex on consecutive days and he took me from a hesitant kiter who was struggling to ride in both directions, and always losing ground down-wind, to an independent kiter able to ride upwind, and feel comfortable with launching and landing my kite on the beach. Alex's knowledge and communication skills are excellent and he is a fun guy to be around, as well. My partner also did lessons with Delphine and improved her kiting skills in a big way .... but she can write her own review about her experiences. So if want to learn/develop your kiting skills in a fabulous location with the lagoon to yourself, go see Alex and Delphine. Maurice (one of the owners of the Seabreeze Kite Club) also turned up for a few days and it was great to meet him too. these guys offer a great product and can customise your kiting experience to suit your wants and needs.

Excellent instruction from Delphine in June 2018. Cobra Beach location is a great spot to kite. Like having your own private beach almost. Great beach shelter for shade. Excellent kite equipment. I was learning. Delphine ensured I could body drag with and without board and taught me the necessary safety skills so I could go alone. I was nervous at first but once up and going, I loved it. She was very attentive and encouraging and helped hugely with my confidence. I learned to go upwind and downwind. Thanks so much to Delphine and Alex. Really nice people, professional, fun and good communication. Accommodation at Ekas Breaks and Ekas Sunrise was great.
My girlfriend and I decided to complete our kitesurfing skills on lombok, Indonesia taking lessons with Alex and Delphine from Seabreeze Kite Club and it turned out to be the right decision. The spot near Ekas is perfect as there is not much traffic and mostly strong and steady wind. Alex and Delphine are experienced and responsible teachers instantly recognizing your level of kiting and accordingly advising you properly to become a safe and confident rider. Bring enough time for practicing to not pressure yourself, you never know about changing wind conditions or how fast you progress. We really enjoyed our time with them and now looking forward to kite on our own.
Amazing virgin spot! Windy every day between 15 and 25 knots. High tide gaves you nice wavy water to go on strapless or use the waves as a good kicker. During mid tide and low tide the spot is perfectly flat. It’s perfect spot for beginners AND advanced riders, for wavestyle AND freestyle. With big space and few riders you are far from the crowded spot as Boracay or Mui Ne! One of the best spot where I’ve been so far.
