This is the preferred place by many to watch the sunrise. The place gets crowded, so come here early if you want to “claim a spot.” The wind is also pretty strong, so wear a warm jacket and bring a face mask/scarf. The view is incredible.

Incredible hike. And, you do not need a guide. This viewpoint is completely free. You cannot get lost from the town. You set off at 3am, it's a semi easy 1.5 hour hike right to the top. There are a few stops on the way that offer hot drinks, water and motorbikes / horses to the top. The viewpoint is sensational. And, the hike down at the crack of dawn is really lovely. I think most people keep on walking to the viewpoint as you can eventually reach the crater. Bring warm clothes, it's freezing at the top and something to cover your face, it's very dusty!!
This is the best of viewpoint to see mountain Bromo and other mountain around. It seems we are standing in the clouds and floating. Must come to see the golden sunrise. Spectacular view ever! There's many viewpoint to stop in the way but I recommend you to climb to the top. Not difficult to go and super worth It.
you will never get bored to take a picture with this scenery, from the park of jeep you only walking for 5 minute and enjoying sunrise with this view. Please take a note to use mouth mask and glasses due to the wind is slightly sandy. Hope it well to enjoy sunrise from kingkong hill

Best viewpoint for the sunrise. Easy to access without tour guides. From this hill you can see the same view from Bukit Cinta. Its location is in the form of a field on a hill bounded by concrete fences.
Since I love being in nature, I really enjoyed here. It was foggy and misty on that day, even was raining the morning I was there. Wear something to keep you warm from head to toe.
I loved Mt.Bromo. impressive one. great experienced and worth it. Freezing early morning. Bring some extra jackets. Top of Mt. Penanjakan sunrise was stunningly beautiful. Climbing up 250 stairs to see the crater of sulfur.
