I love Ranu Kumbolo for its beauty, nature, water, clean air, and my struggle hiking up to this place. Love it more than any other mountains. Nights in Ranu Kumbolo is amazing. You could just lay down drinking hot coffee under millions of stars, chatting with your best of friends and enjoying the cold air and wind that brush past your face.

Good place. If you camping around this lake please follow the rules and keep the area clean
Awesome lake.. visited in early July, morning and nights were freezing for us accustomed to tropical climate. But the skies were full of stars at night.. very magical
Best lake in mountains area, way to semeru mountain, highest in java island. Beautiful lake view, clean water, good vegetation. NEVER BROKE IT!! 4-6hours walk from Ranupani, have toilet, mini store sold local food and instan food. Best experience came here.

Try to set up your hiking day when the hiking season is closed, which is very few hikers around. Trust me you won't regret it !
