This is absolutely one of the best experiences we had during our travels. Would recommend this for everyone going here. I went with my girlfriend and it's definitely a very romantic experience. We were with 8 people on the explorer, which is perfect. Each couple has their own little cabin on top where you can store your bags and has your comfy bed and towels and stuff. We worried about sleeping and the waves but none of us experienced any discomfort. Food on the boat is better then we expected! Breakfast, lunch and dinner are prepared in the little kitchen on the back of the boat. also they serve some in between snacks and little bites during the day. Water, coffee and tea are included. You are able to buy softdrinks, beers and other alcohol with the crew. We definitely recommend you take a bottle of hard liquor and some stuff to put away in the cooler for you to use. It's allowed and definitely cheaper. There is a crew of 4; one cook, one captain and two people just providing you with all the support you need during snorkeling, island hikes and all other activities. The crew was so friendly and helpful we could not have asked for more. Snorkel gear is provided on the boat and is of relatively good quality. But if you have your own, bring it! All hikes, trips, spots etc. where worth it! Bring your camera!! Also, bring your aux cable and offline music to play. Let them inform you about the extra costs that are not included, like entrance for the national park and bring extra money to give the crew a tip. They definitely deserve it! I can not recommend this trip enough. Some extra tips, bring enough sunscreen and get up early to see the sunrise. There is a toilet on board and a pump shower which is for a very quick shower only.

Fraudulent company! Even though the trip was cancelled based on their own terms and conditions, and way ahead of departure, they never refunded our deposit. No reaction, no refund, no nothing. Keep on searching, there are a lot of nice and honest companies out there.
My boyfriend and I went on the 4 night cruise, 3 nights on the boat and 1 on the private island, and we can’t recommend Le Pirate highly enough! The solar powered boat was excellent - comfortable and spacious enough for an 8 person group for 3 days. The guide and crew were friendly, easygoing and great cooks. In general, the trip was well organised. It was the right length and there was the right amount of “doing” vs relaxing time. And of course the snorkelling and views were incredible.
We has the BEST experience with le Pirate Explorer, our guide Farelle was amazing, he always went into the water to suss out the marine life and let us know immediately if he saw manta rays/ turtles etc. Food on board was good, music was great, the different islands were were taken too were all equally AMAZING. Definitely the best looking boat in Labuan Bajo :)
We privatized the boat my wife and I. Initially we were a bit skeptical, 4 days and 3 nights on a boat wouldn’t be too long? Finally we do not regret it at all. We were on the pirate explore 2 and everything went wonderfully well. We really appreciate the supervisor Emilio and pirate explorer 2 crew. They were so kind and always available for us. The scenery is breathtaking, we have seen dolphins, turtles, manta rays, baby sharks ... The food is very good too and we sleep well. I really want to thank Emilio for his kindness, his joy of life, his availability, the laughs we shared together ... He and the crew were indispensable to the smooth running of this stay. We thanks them a lot and we will never forget all those beautiful times we shared.
We booked our day trip tour through le pirate tours at the Main Street. However it seems that the operator is Alexandra Komodo tours. Nevertheless, the price of the tours are the same at 1.2 million rupiah excluding Park and ranger fees when we asked several places for speedboat to 6 locations. You can get it at 500k rupiah for a regular boat to 4 locations. I’m glad that le pirate got us to meet up earlier at 530am and set off earlier. This allowed us to get to places before the crowd comes in. The guide are also English speaking. As for the rest of the crew, they are very polite and helpful. Though not very profession in English, they try their best to help you. Thank you for the great experience. P/S: coffee is not inclusive. The crew gave a cup to us. We are so grateful for it. flores coffee is really good. Pls consider adding it as part of the drinks instead of coke and Sprite only. Thank you.
I’ll start by saying, this trip was absolutely incredible. Do it!! We did 4 days and 3 nights. Positives: Our guide Emilio was lovely, knew when to get us moving and when to spend more time somewhere. The food was awesome (tiny kitchen!), and the snorkeling is truly world class!! I wish we had a go pro. On the last night we got to stay at le pirate island which was truly epic. Snorkeled there too. Padar island and pink beach were also major highlights! Also Komodo dragons, woah they are massive but pretty cool. Negatives: Not much to say here. We were on explorer 1 which I think is the oldest boat so the bathroom could use an upgrade. It wasn’t really possible to shower with the pump system but it’s really only 2.5 days before you’re on the island and you’re in nice salt water multiple times a day. Other than that, good to know that the boat can be super rocky (I could barely sleep night one but night two was way less rocky and peaceful). Also sometimes they park the boat near other boats that can have loud annoying generators.
Don't book with this company! They still owe us 300 euro and they just don't reply and are stealing from their costumers.
