It's the largest airport in Special Region of Yogyakarta. Though it's located in the Kulonprogo Regency, quite far from the city of Yogyakarta. What I love about this airport is the architectural which using local and traditional themed design in some of its corner.

Very nice. Because this is new airport, everything is new and clean. Also the waiting room is the best. You can directly see sea and the plane taking off or landing. I think this is the coziest airport that I know. Also they have a small market here.

A bit far from Yogyakarta YIA built nicely, fortunately many different transportation choices available. No need to worry if your final destination is Yogyakarta.

the architecture and surrounding view is good, you can see the sea and mountains. The airport can manage the big airplane. Currently it tooks me more than 1 hour to drive to the airport. Future need to build the freeway/tol, so that could drive faster and save more time

Quite far from the center of Jogja city.. takes 1-2 hour depends on the travelling time.. faster at morning and getting longer at afternoon.. Definitely bigger than the old airport (Adisucipto), cleaner and comfy..

The scenery outside is beautiful, the terminal is spacious and super clean. The airport and mosque's design is modern.

Even though it's located quite far from the center of the city, but it's nice! Wide and has beautiful scenery! You can get there by car or motorcycle or taxi or bus (damri). Love the architecture too
