Amazing experience ... Wonderful kids, full of passion. Jimmy is doing a good job for these kids ...

One of the many scams in Bali. This is not a school, the performers are the kids of the owner and other family members. Besides the low quality, the kids make it obvious they would prefer to not be there, and the whole atmosphere is awkward. The donation you're expected to pay is in the order of one million rupiah.

Very nice show with talented kids full of energy. We were requested to record our names in the school log book and make a donation at the end but were surprised by the amount mentioned by other guests (500k to 700k). We still keep a good memory of this experience.

Jimmy Hendrix is an incredible man who opens his home up to share various traditional Balinese songs and dance. You can tell the students are genuinely enjoying themselves while they were sharing their culture and expression with us. Such an uplifting experience! When in Bali, I highly recommend visiting here. I love how it is by donation which is put directly back into the school. I can’t express my love and appreciation for this place and these people enough!

Very nice performance by the kids. Some of them are quite talented. We loved the atmosphere they created and the energy they had. On a side note: At the end we were asked to make a voluntary donation. In the guestbook we saw that previous donations were 500k or more (up to 1.000.000) but we know this "trick" where people write their own guestbook with huge donations to make you feel guilty to give less. So we didn't fall for that one and kept a nice memory of the dancing kids.

Self proclaimed „Jimmy Hendrix“ approached us at the beach and invited us to a dance performance at his dance school for kids. We were thrilled, because he seemed like a nice guy and made the impression that he was just looking for a willing audience for his pupils. The performance was quite entertaining, but because of the kids energy, not him scolding them. Afterwards he went to every guest and asked them to donate. We donated around 100.000 Rp each (around 6), a normal price for a professional dance performance, but he was expecting something like 500.000 Rp (around 30) each and made it quite apparent that in his opinion we hadn’t donated enough, which doesn’t fit the idea of the voluntarity of a donation. We had a professional photographer in our group and we offered to send him high quality pictures and help him, if he needed help with his website. The next day we found out that he was also a driver and asked him how much it would be to take us to Uluvatu. He asked us three times the regular fee (1.500.000 Rp/ 90) and that was the moment we realised, that he is not helping anyone, except himself. We told him that we don’t want to do business with him anymore and he went on insulting us. Sad to meet someone who starts off with such a good first impression and makes you believe he is helping kids, a true altruist, but then turns out to be just another opportunistic dirtbag.
