This was my first time doing sugaring, and I will definitely do it again! Painless, clean, simple and quick. No hot wax, no skin burning (which was my biggest issue with waxing). From the moment I have stepped into this new gem in Ubud, I felt completely relaxed... the bright (White Yellow) uplifting tone of the place, the refreshing lime/zest scent, cleanliness, watching Vera (Front Desk Staff) meticulously water baby plants with love was so sweet to watch as I waited on my appointment with fresh water and lemon. And browsing through their selection of beauty products on their shelf - bought myself an almond & honey body lotion bar - decadent. Marzipan scented! So off I go to get my sugaring done and the sweetest therapist (Daisy) cracked up saying - you are Egyptian? Sugaring is where Egypt originated from!!! So while it was my first time ever to try sugaring, I was so surprised at how pain-less it was (than normal wax) and the end result was even more surprising.... clean. So clean. Baby smooth skin. No ingrowns, no mini stubbles, no redness afterwards, no itchiness, no need to apply cream to soothe the skin. Nothing. I am so happy to have tried Sugaring and as Daisy says Cleopatra's royal treatment! Ha! Just a pointer know that they have 2 branches. One in Canggu and one in Ubud. So when making an appointment, mention which location you wish to book into. I will be back to this gem... thank you for existing in Ubud!!!
This was the first time I tried sugaring, and I’m very happy with the results! I used to shave my legs, but I don’t think I can go back to that because my legs are so smooth after sugaring that I can’t stop touching it! And for Brazilian, I used to do waxing, but I have sensitive skin, and it caused ingrown hair, too. After the sugaring treatment, I didn’t get any rash or bumps ... Dian and her partner are super friendly. The booking is easy as well. Highly recommend.
My visit to High Sugar was for hair removal. Usually an uncomfortable experience, however Now I know about Sugaring I would recommend this to everyone who finds waxing harsh on the skin. Sugaring is so gentle, my skin looks and feels so good. My therapist was so professional and made suggestions for aftercare and other treatments that I’ll be back to try for sure!
Amazing place! The staff treated me so nicely. I was there today for a lash Keratine treatment and tint as well as a eyebrow tint and shaping. Both was very well done and I love the result. Thanks, guys!
I went here on Thursday, the receptionist greeted me right away and offered me some water. The place looks clean and they sell a few other products like lotions and bath bombs. I waited for maybe 2 minutes before my lady Mia asked me to go inside the room. New normal protocol, sanitized everything and she used mask all the time. I booked the Hollywood treatment, or Brazilian as we know it normally. The whole process was really pleasant, she jokes around to make me less nervous (I have never tried sugar waxing before), and it ends pretty quickly. I was there probably for 20 minutes. She also asked me a lot if I was okay, if it’s painful and if I need time before we continue. I really like the result and it was done in such a professional way. I recommend this place if you’re looking for waxing in Ubud. Definitely worth it and I will come back for sure!
This place has the BEST waxing technique ever I swear! I've never seen waxing done like this before, it's between soft and hard wax - I get the baby skin with less pain. Super recommended for ANY body areas. The staff I was with was so professional and hygienic too.
Have had two sugaring sessions already here, and so far I’m very happy with the service. Such a lovely and friendly team. It’s very clean, nice atmosphere. The girls are so professional and make you feel so comfortable, and I don’t know what I enjoy more having lovely smooth legs After or having a great chat with the staff !
