Lingkar was initiated by a group of young people who experienced & shared the same concern about mental health issues in young adults, and is facilitated by a group of professionals from SAUH Psychological Services. The project is based on our shared concern on the lack of knowledge in our society, as well as ODMKM (People with mental health problems) on some of the very fundamental information regarding mental health in young adults. Our aim is to spread scientific-based information and knowledge, as well as build awareness on the issues surrounding mental health in young adults. We would like to also initiate a safe space for those who are struggling with mental health issues, and help end the stigmas surrounding people with mental health issues. We are trying to understand about mental health and how it affects people, particularly young adults. Poor mental wellbeing has become common in young adults, so much that in some worst cases can lead to unfortunate events that are unnecessary, due to lack of education and awareness about mental wellbeing.
