Responding to the needs of infrastructure development in Indonesia, the Center for Sustainable Infrastructure Development (CSID) is established at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia. The center was initiated by scholars and professionals that focusing on Indonesian infrastructure development in Integrated Design and Technology (IDTech) Research Group. Since 2008, the research group has continuously received research grants from the Ministry of Education and the University of Indonesia. Additional funding sources include, but are not limited to, the Ministry of Transportation, House of Representatives, and AusAid. In the midst of 2014, the CSID is established to be the forefront of infrastructure research organization in Indonesia.
